
Erik Wytenus is the EMEA Head of Investment Strategy for J.P. Morgan Private Bank. In this role, Erik, in partnership with asset class professionals and portfolio managers, is responsible for developing and communicating the firm’s economic and market views and investment strategies.
Prior to this role, Erik was Market Lead to the Global Families Group, based in New York. The Global Families Group serves U.S. families living abroad as well as international families who have business and personal interests in the United States. Working closely with the EMEA and APAC regions, the team represents a center of excellence for covering complex and multi-jurisdictional families.
Previously, Erik was responsible for the Investment Team at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Palm Beach, Florida. He managed an experienced group of professionals who advised wealthy clients and their families on holistic asset allocation and tactical investment decisions.
Erik also served as Head of Foreign Exchange and Commodities for J.P. Morgan in Asia, based in Hong Kong. He sat on the Private Bank’s Asia Opportunistic Investments Committee, which generates cross-asset class strategies, as well as on the region’s Discretionary Investment Committee.
He also worked at the Investment Bank’s currency trading desk managing client orders and risk, and trading currencies in both market-making and proprietary strategies. Before joining J.P. Morgan, he worked in risk analysis for Hess Energy Trading Company in New York.
Erik holds FINRA Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 securities licenses. He has appeared numerous times on CNBC and Bloomberg television to discuss the firm’s market views.
